Bathing

Bathing tools are a type of item in Boing Boing Animals used to increase a slime's hygiene and their growth EXP. Bathing tools do not affect the slime's next stage of growth, but each slime will have a favorite tool. When a slime is selected, and the bathing tools menu is opened, their favorite tool is outlined in the text color (default: blue). Favorite tools will give more growth EXP when bathing.

Usage

Slimes can be bathed once their hygiene reaches 80% or below, as long as they are not sick. When a slime's hygiene is 0% and they have not been given a vaccine, they will likely become sick and remain stationary with a bubble that has a red cross above their head. Sick slimes are unable to be interacted with until they are fed medication. The player can access the bathing menu using the water drop button at the top, which is the third button from the left. They can then drag the selected tool to the slime and move it across said slime to increase their hygiene rapidly.

Behavior

Every slime has a particular favorite bathing tool, which will be highlighted in the text color. If the player uses their favorite bathing tool, the amount of growth EXP received after bathing will increase. Bathing will also restore some of a slime's lost HP.

Bathing tools used on a particular slime will be recorded until they are sent to planet BO1-NG. Using all five yields the Use "5 types of cleaning tools" slime achievement. Cleaning tools used do not affect the slime's next stage of growth.

Broom

The broom is a special bathing tool that is used to clean up turds by swiping over them rather than tapping on them individually. Slimes cannot be cleaned with the broom unless it is their favorite bathing tool. There is a 1 in 20 chance that a slime's favorite bathing tool is the broom.
